Charlie Hall's DRINK and DABBLE (Rhode Island's Traveling Art Party)  is a brand new event where people gather to sip cocktails and try their hand at re-creating a chosen painting (usually a Rhode Island scene) under the guidance of talented RISD grad/comic Charlie Hall. And the best thing: NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! That's right- the only rules are to have fun, enjoy a drink or three, listen to some great party music, and take home the canvas that you designed.

And we'll show
you how!

What do I have to bring?
Nothing! We'll supply you with a blank 16" x 20" stretched canvas, brushes, palette, acrylic paints, apron, table easel, step-by step instructions, and a fun setting in one of RI's best restaurants/function rooms. You will re-create a painting that was pre-selected for that night or perhaps a famous one like Van Gogh's  "Starry Night". Or you can do your OWN painting if you're more free-spirited. Add to that whatever cocktail, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverage or food you might want and we have the makings of a stellar night.

There are hundreds of these events all around the country- see why people are flocking to them!

DRINK and DABBLE is perfect for...
  • DATE NIGHTS
  • BIRTHDAY PARTIES
  • BACHELORETTE PARTIES
  • GIRLS-NIGHT-OUT GATHERINGS
  • SHOWERS
  • FUNDRAISERS
  • CORPORATE TEAM BUILDING
  • HOLIDAY PARTIES/GIFT CERTIFICATES

Who's the TEECHA?

Picture
Charlie Hall- that's who! Besides being Rhody's
well- known funnyman, he's a RISD grad, painter, cartoonist, muralist, caricaturist TV court artist, and illustrator. He is the perfect host for this unique, "spirited" art party. But he can't do it all by himself....

Joining him most classes is a gaggle of equally-talented instructors who either assist Charlie with the instruction or lead the class themselves...

Including the brilliant watercolorist from Swansea Gina Croce, acclaimed local painter Stacey Graham, the always entertaining painter/illustrator/teacher Jay LeClair from the Beacon Charter High School for the Arts, and the very talented Eric Gustafson.  (Oh, and let's not forget the guy who schedules you and handles all the emails  behind the scenes, Richard Thunberg.)

Drink and Dabble is lucky to have this team handling your artistic needs!
