Charlie Hall's DRINK and DABBLE (Rhode Island's Traveling Art Party) is THE AWARD-WINNING art party where people gather to sip cocktails, nosh on fine food, and try their hand at re-creating a chosen painting (many times a Rhode Island scene) under the guidance of several talented instructors and even the owner himself, funnyman Charlie Hall. And the best thing: NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! That's right- the only rules are to have fun, enjoy a drink or three, listen to some great party music, and take home the canvas that you just painted! Like the ones to the right….you can do it!

What do I have to bring to a Drink and Dabble?
Nothing! We'll supply you with a blank 16" x 20" stretched canvas, brushes, palette, acrylic paints, apron, table easel, step-by step instructions, and a fun setting in one of RI's best restaurants/function rooms. You will re-create a painting that was pre-selected for that night or perhaps a famous one like Van Gogh's "Starry Night". Or you can do your OWN painting if you're more free-spirited. Add to that whatever cocktail, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverage or food you might want and we have the makings of a stellar night. There are hundreds of these events all around the country- see why people are flocking to them!
Hearts: simple, colorful, and abstract. A stunning Valentine’s gift for your boo. And YOU choose the one to paint!
Wed. Feb. 11th at VANITY, Prov.
Eric Gustafson is our lead teacher, quirky, flirty and funny. Also acclaimed local painter Anthony Besachio, Jason LeClair from the Beacon Charter School for the Arts, Chris Heon, Nick Lancellotti, Dan Rao, all fine artists. And of course funnyman and RISD grad Charlie Hall leads classes when his herniated back allows him to stand for that long. Oh, and biz and private function guru Rick Thunberg handles all of our…uh…biz and private function stuff.
